A Quick Solution

A solenoid can be, within practical limits, any size, any stroke length, any voltage and any duty cycle. Most applications in cars, white goods and industrial components call for special mountings, finishes, return springs and couplings as well. The solenoids inside an existing device may be very special to that application, but be made in tens of thousands for the original equipment manufacturer (i.e. car manufacturer) to keep prices low. For a spare part it may be best to go to that original supplier. But supposing you have an idea, a new application for just one solenoid, or a project concept where you need a basic solenoid for testing or try out?

The Solenoid Company keep a selection of standard solenoids on the shelf. You can order from one of 6 types of solenoid with over 20 models to choose from. All are 24VDC and suitable for 100% duty cycle, i.e they can be constantly energised. With stroke lengths up to 25mm and maximum force of up to 30 Newtons, just select a stock solenoid, check the price and delivery costs and place your order for despatch in 24 hours.

Prices are based on single items. We will quote separately for larger volumes and variations, based on normal manufacturing lead times.
