A more powerful Kuhnke two-directional solenoid using the square body design of the V series. One standard sizes with strokes up to 8mm. Force up to 100 Newtons at 5% duty cycle or 40 Newtons at 100% duty cycle (as an example with infinite variations in between). This is a combined thrust and pull type. The compact device comprises two coils for operation and return. Each is energised seperately. When one coil is energised the plungers move in one direction and remain there whilst the coil remains live. When the second coil is energised, and the first coil de-energised, the plungers move in the opposite direction. There is no centre position.
The standard body size is 40mm x 40mm x 84mm excluding plungers. All dimensions can be viewed on the datasheet.
The most common voltage is 24VDC but these can be wound for most DC voltages.

Kuhnke UV series .
A two-directional solenoid with a square body for stronger force.
Part number explanation. The different versions of UV solenoids are coded into the part number, which is made up of 5 components, which we have shown here in the headings A to E. Explanations are shown below the table.
| A | B | C | D | E |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| UV | 40 | F | 24 | 100%ED |
| N |
A = Design, in this case UV
B = Size, 40
C = Connection, F = flying leads, N = plug in socket
D = Voltage in DC
E = Duty cycle, can be any percentage
